On the 14th of June, at the FISU headquarters in Brussels, the draw was made for the 12th University World Futsal Championship.  The draw was conducted by John Warnock (FISU technical delegate for Futsal) and Laurent Briel (FISU director for World University Championships).

The draw resulted in the following groups:

For Men,
Group A: Serbia, Israel, Argentina, France
Group B: Portugal, Uruguay, Poland, Montenegro
Group C: Ukraine, Russia, Oman, Great Britain
Group D: Brazil, China, Slovakia, Kazakhstan

In the draw, the first two teams in their respective groups qualify for the quarterfinals!

For Women participants are: Serbia, Brazil, France, Great Britain, Portugal and Russia;  In the part of the draw for women, the competition will be organized according to the system "everybody plays everybody" and the one count point system.
